Davis to file for N.C. Senate 

(Snow Hill, North Carolina)–Snow Hill Mayor Don Davis announces his intent to file for the North Carolina Senate District 5 seat on February 11, 2008, which is the first day of filing.

“Early momentum is behind our campaign. Many residents desire a new direction. Residents are looking for fresh ideas and new approaches to the challenges facing our region. Together, we can make great things happen for ordinary citizens,” said Davis.

Davis announced in October of 2007 his intent to file for the North Carolina Senate District 5. Just weeks later, Senator John Kerr announced that he would not seek reelection.

The filing period opens on February 11, 2008 and closes on Febuary 29, 2008.

Davis will be filing at 12 noon at the Greene County Board of Elections. The Greene County Board of Elections Office is located at 110 SE First Street in Snow Hill.
